Salaams! I’m currently in Pakistan, Alhamdulllah one year later! Although this time it is a completely different experience because I am with my best friend <3 We left home and went to Manchester, then went to London and then Dad dropped us off at the airport a day later. We flew into Doha first (our first flight together!) and then into Pakistan. We landed at Islamabad and were greeted by Mamoo S, Ama g and Abu g. Then we went to Gujrat and met with everyone and then went to my best friends childhood home. It is suchhhh a different experience and I’m not gonna lie, it’s really, really different and quite challenging for me, but I am slowly getting used to it. We will be back in England soon in’sha’Allah 😀
The journey was really fun but long, although because I was with my best friend it was the best ever. We had Burger King from Doha but unfortunately, the Coke leaked -_- Got some halal M&M’s from Doha too but it was like £5 a bag o_O When we landed at ISB I was bursting for the loo sooo we rushed towards it and RANDOMLYY bumped into Abida Parveen! We looked back again because we weren’t sure, but yes it was her! Pretty cool, right?! Was too shy to say anything, and I really needed to go :’)
When we finally arrived in Gujrat I met with everyone and it was so lovely. And then we went to our home away from home, where best friend grew up. I really felt the love and everyone is so so nice.
The second day we went to the factory and Mamoo showed us around, we also went McDonald’s and I finally had my double filet o fish :’) Got my SIM sorted as well! All set for the next month or so in Pakistan, in’sha’Allah!
Wow… where do I start?! I haven’t blogged for YEARS but I want to get back into it for various reasons. Firstly, I’ve enjoyed reading my old posts (which I had to find hidden deeply within the Internet archives)! I can’t believe how much I have changed over the years, some of my posts are so cringe-worthy but I decided to upload them all on here anyway 🙂
Life has changed a lot since I last blogged. I’ve gone through really happy, exciting times and sad, tragic times. I’ve learnt so much about myself and the world around me. I’ve gained so many new skills and interest and ideas. Alhamdulillah for everything!
I hope that I will continue writing because it is something I have really, really missed. I’ve contemplated getting my blog back so many times and decided I need it back in my life. I feel so much better for it, and it really helps me! I can’t believe I let negative people get to me which resulted in me deleting my old website… But it is back!
I now live amongst the beautiful hills of South Yorkshire with my favourite person, and I do get to visit London quite often too, Alhamdulillah! I am going to try and write as often as I can about the experiences in my life and am very appreciative to anyone reading this 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful day/night wherever you are!
Asalaam Alaykum! It has
been a busy time but Alhamdulillah I am finally getting round to writing my
review for the Nature’s Well Labs Hair, Skin and Nails tablets!
I was approached by a wonderful company to try their product (I was able to choose from the range here!) and write my honest review. The company offer health supplements for all ages and different concerns. Being Muslim, I only eat halal, and this company is HMC certified, so I decided to go for it!
Major vitamin brands may contain gelatin, and even the supplements labelled “suitable for vegetarians” may contain alcohol and other ingredients which aren’t suitable for Muslims. Nature’s Well Labs is based in London and they are the first ever vitamins and nutritional products brand to be fully certified by (HMC) Halal Monitoring Committee UK as 100% Halal. They are also a sustainable brand and donate a minimum of 10% of their profit to charity.
The supplement contains biotin, vitamin C, zinc and B vitamins to help contribute to healthy hair, skin and nails. Zinc helps keep follicles strong, low levels of zinc can lead to changes in the protein structure of hair follicles leading to weakening of their structural integrity. B Vitamins are antioxidants that play a vital role in healthy hair growth. Deficiencies in these vitamins can lead to hair thinning, hair loss, greying, and weakening of the hair strands. Biotic plays a vital role in improving the levels of keratin in your body leading to healthy hair growth, healthy skin and nails.*
The pack arrived in a
few days and I was very eager to try them out! The first day of taking the
supplement coincided with the blessed month of Ramadan, so I decided to take
two tablets each day with my Suhoor meal, for 30 days (60 tablets in total per
pack). I am going to be completely honest in my review, and I must admit that
in the first two weeks my skin broke out (nothing major Alhamdulillah!).
However, I can’t say it was due to the tablets as it may have also occurred due
to fasting or other factors. I decided to carry on because I wanted to give the
product a chance and finish the 30 days to write this review.
supplement also arrived with an information leaflet containing details of the
other products in the range.
The good news is that
after the first two weeks of Ramadan, my skin cleared up dramatically,
Alhamdulillah! I didn’t have any breakouts and my skin was in very good health.
Again, this could be due to many factors such as my skincare regime, fasting,
hormones etc. However, I’d say that I am happy with the way my skin has been,
after taking the tablets for 30 days.
Now on to the even better news! I have noticed my hair and nails have improved immensely. My sister and aunt also noticed Alhamdulillah! I haven’t done anything different to my nails or hair since taking these tablets so I would attribute these effects to them. I usually have white marks in my nails, or they don’t grow very fast, but since taking the tablets my nails have cleared and they grow well. My hair has also increased and just generally looks much better. I am hoping that by taking these tablets over a longer period of time, they will show some even better benefits. No supplement is ever going to be an instant cure and these things take time to work, however I have been impressed with the results so far. I would recommend these tablets and this company, and thank them for giving me the opportunity to try out their product! I will be purchasing these tablets in the future in’sha’Allah, and will also be recommending them to others!
