New Experiences, Travel and a World Pandemic

So far, we have had a wonderful time in Pakistan Alhamdulillah! We have visited family and the Urs has passed too. I also went to Lahore (Ichra Bazaar, Packages Mall, Gold Crest Mall and various other places). I had the food I craved whilst in the UK (but isn’t halal over there) – so I can’t complain. As soon as we arrived back from Lahore, we heard that things were going to get shut down because of the coronavirus, covid-19. Within days, the cases increased and cities were being ordered to close everything, with the exception of food/grocery stores and pharmacies/doctors/hospitals. It is so surreal that this is happening, it just doesn’t seem real at all!

SubhanAllah, how something so minute which can’t even be seen with the naked eye has completely shut down the entire world. No matter how powerful man may think he is, Allah has the utmost Power and controls everything. A truly humbling time for all…

As for our stay in Pakistan, it has had to be extended due to the current times. It is scary not knowing when we will be able to go back, and it is difficult to always have to stay indoors, but it is NOTHING compared to the hardship that so many people are facing as a result of this pandemic…It really is so scary and worrying… So many people are ill and dying with the virus, others are trapped in houses with abusers, some are going hungry as they don’t have any money… How can we complain about anything knowing there are others suffering so much more?

In these uncertain times, I hope that everyone is keeping safe and to the government guidelines, and in’sha’Allah we will all overcome this together very soon!

Greetings from Pakistan!

Salaams! I’m currently in Pakistan, Alhamdulllah one year later! Although this time it is a completely different experience because I am with my best friend <3 We left home and went to Manchester, then went to London and then Dad dropped us off at the airport a day later. We flew into Doha first (our first flight together!) and then into Pakistan. We landed at Islamabad and were greeted by Mamoo S, Ama g and Abu g. Then we went to Gujrat and met with everyone and then went to my best friends childhood home. It is suchhhh a different experience and I’m not gonna lie, it’s really, really different and quite challenging for me, but I am slowly getting used to it. We will be back in England soon in’sha’Allah πŸ˜€

The journey was really fun but long, although because I was with my best friend it was the best ever. We had Burger King from Doha but unfortunately, the Coke leaked -_- Got some halal M&M’s from Doha too but it was like Β£5 a bag o_O When we landed at ISB I was bursting for the loo sooo we rushed towards it and RANDOMLYY bumped into Abida Parveen! We looked back again because we weren’t sure, but yes it was her! Pretty cool, right?! Was too shy to say anything, and I really needed to go :’)

When we finally arrived in Gujrat I met with everyone and it was so lovely. And then we went to our home away from home, where best friend grew up. I really felt the love and everyone is so so nice.

The second day we went to the factory and Mamoo showed us around, we also went McDonald’s and I finally had my double filet o fish :’) Got my SIM sorted as well! All set for the next month or so in Pakistan, in’sha’Allah!

Best Friend grew up visiting these fields. I saw this place for the first time <3 It was a little surreal!

New Beginning…

Asalaam Alaykum!

Wow… where do I start?! I haven’t blogged for YEARS but I want to get back into it for various reasons. Firstly, I’ve enjoyed reading my old posts (which I had to find hidden deeply within the Internet archives)! I can’t believe how much I have changed over the years, some of my posts are so cringe-worthy but I decided to upload them all on here anyway πŸ™‚

Life has changed a lot since I last blogged. I’ve gone through really happy, exciting times and sad, tragic times. I’ve learnt so much about myself and the world around me. I’ve gained so many new skills and interest and ideas. Alhamdulillah for everything!

I hope that I will continue writing because it is something I have really, really missed. I’ve contemplated getting my blog back so many times and decided I need it back in my life. I feel so much better for it, and it really helps me! I can’t believe I let negative people get to me which resulted in me deleting my old website… But it is back!

I now live amongst the beautiful hills of South Yorkshire with my favourite person, and I do get to visit London quite often too, Alhamdulillah! I am going to try and write as often as I can about the experiences in my life and am very appreciative to anyone reading this πŸ™‚ I hope you have a wonderful day/night wherever you are!
