Happy New Year 2021!

I can’t believe I’ve neglected this site since September last year! *moon face*. So much has gone on since then, I started a job (technical support advisor) which was great in the beginning but it just wasn’t for me, so I left it in mid Jan! I have my new job starting next Wednesday so in’sha’Allah that goes really well and I actually enjoy it!

Things have been up and down since my last post, and I am not going to promise that I will be regular in blogging, but I hope I will post a little bit more often.

Today I had an emergency dental appointment because my filling (which I had put in LAST WEEK on Friday) decided to suddenly fall off whilst I was asleep. I really hope this new one doesn’t come out. I don’t want to be paying every time it comes out, and I dislike making the appointment and going to the dentist and just worrying about my teeth all day 🙁

We’ve also had quite a few snow days here in South Yorkshire! It was so fun to play in but did get a bit dangerous, especially with the car!

Hope everyone is okay and I pray that everyone stays safe and things can get back to normal very soon in’sha’Allah!

#ExaminerLife is done, for now

Hello!

I have just completed the survey and written my report for this examination. Sad to say the process has come to an end! I really enjoyed it and it was a new experience with this kind of exam (can’t say any more) but I am so thankful for the experience! I hope I can do this again soon!

With regards to coronavirus, things don’t seem to have improved very much and it is so scary. I have been avoiding going out unless it is absolutely necessary. Last night I felt so ill, had a banging headache and fever, slight cough, upset stomach and dizziness. It is so scary when you feel these symptoms and knowing what is going on around the world. Today I am slightly better Alhamdulillah, but still a little worried, as you would be!! I’m sure it is nothing to worry about in’sha’Allah, and it is most likely due to the extreme weather changes happening at the moment and being in another country, but I hope I feel better soon.

I hope this situation clears soon and we can get back to a more ‘normal’ way of life. I pray that Ramadan is going well for everyone, and that everyone is keeping safe and is well physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually…

New Experiences, Travel and a World Pandemic

So far, we have had a wonderful time in Pakistan Alhamdulillah! We have visited family and the Urs has passed too. I also went to Lahore (Ichra Bazaar, Packages Mall, Gold Crest Mall and various other places). I had the food I craved whilst in the UK (but isn’t halal over there) – so I can’t complain. As soon as we arrived back from Lahore, we heard that things were going to get shut down because of the coronavirus, covid-19. Within days, the cases increased and cities were being ordered to close everything, with the exception of food/grocery stores and pharmacies/doctors/hospitals. It is so surreal that this is happening, it just doesn’t seem real at all!

SubhanAllah, how something so minute which can’t even be seen with the naked eye has completely shut down the entire world. No matter how powerful man may think he is, Allah has the utmost Power and controls everything. A truly humbling time for all…

As for our stay in Pakistan, it has had to be extended due to the current times. It is scary not knowing when we will be able to go back, and it is difficult to always have to stay indoors, but it is NOTHING compared to the hardship that so many people are facing as a result of this pandemic…It really is so scary and worrying… So many people are ill and dying with the virus, others are trapped in houses with abusers, some are going hungry as they don’t have any money… How can we complain about anything knowing there are others suffering so much more?

In these uncertain times, I hope that everyone is keeping safe and to the government guidelines, and in’sha’Allah we will all overcome this together very soon!
